the 4th

Lake Chautauqua in New York was the idyllic setting of our 4th of July fun on Friday. We were enjoying family camp with Steve’s side, and the tradition is for all of the kids at camp to put on a parade for everyone after morning chapel. The staff helped them get decked out in bold red, white, and blue—with face paint, balloons, tiny flags, and streamers. And they walked (or rode) so proudly around the parade loop! Nolan had a blast, especially after the parade when he climbed onto the golf cart to command the steering wheel! His three girl cousins looked super adorable as we snapped photograph after photograph :)
